As the clock stuck 2:00 PM, Kitsap Public Health District added forty four new cases. Two new cases for Bainbridge Island and one new reported death bringing the total to 35 for Kitsap County. The rate of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 (over past 14 days) is down again from 198 on Monday to 192 today.
Big applause for little victories.
The Governor reported that there are 176,000 doses of vaccine headed to Washington State's way this week, it's full allotment. That's an increase from the 44,000 (2/3) received last week in the first shipment.
COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions are still in place for WA State so make sure to mask up, stay distant and only hang out with folks you live with.
As for the City of Bainbridge Island, it released a statement Monday morning letting potential test takers know that the outdoor drive through testing site would be closed "beginning Friday, Dec. 25 and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4".
If you need to get a test before the new year, the remaining schedule is Wednesday January 23rd from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. Appointment is required so visit the C.O.B.I. COVID site here before heading down to insure your spot in line.
