Race Equity Task Force Co-Chair Brenda Fantroy-Johnson Submits Application for Kol Medina’s Open North Ward City Council Seat.
We have our first applicant for the now vacant position of the Bainbridge Island City Council’s North Ward seat. Brenda Fantroy-Johnson has thrown her hat in the ring. In her application, she states that low-income housing, sustainable transportation and race equity are her top three priorities.

Fantroy-Johnson is currently the co-chair of the Bainbridge Island Race Equity Task Force. She would be vacating a seat that will soon be converted to a standing committee.
The North Ward seat was held up until Tuesday, November 10, 2020 by second term Council Member, Kol Medina. Media resigned his least upon making the decision to move to his hometown of Walla Walla. He will take over as the President/CEO of the Blue Mountain Community Foundation. A similar role to that which he held at the Kitsap Community Foundation.
