For the first two weeks the City of Bainbridge Island received only one application, that of co-chair of the Race Equity Task Force, Brenda Fantroy-Johnson. Last week we saw 28 year Bainbridge Island resident Jane Lindley throw her hat into the ring. She brings a wealth of experience on Bainbridge and the environment.
Fast forward to Tuesday morning. Two more names appeared on the City Council's Website. Tyler Benson and Stuart Walton.
Both applicants come to this with a background and focus on business. Benson is a public finance professional, former United States Naval Officer and entrepreneur.
Walton is a veteran business owner and long time Bainbridge Island resident. He was one of the owners of the long time Winslow Way business, Paper Products
You can see the Tyler Benson application here.
And the Stuart Walton application here.
And the Jane Lindley application here.
The City of Bainbridge Island is accepting applications for the vacant North Ward position until Wednesday, November 25th at 4:00 PM.
We expect to see more applicants enter the fray as the deadline draws near.
